A modern Alfa Romeo Montreal is exactly what the world needs

Inspired by an Alfa Romeo Montreal that kindled his love for cars as a child, the digital artist Luca Serafini has created this fabulous modern interpretation of the quirky V8 coupé, signature side louvres and eyebrows included…

Back to the future

In the 1980s, the Italian digital artist Luca Serafini was awestruck when his father brought home a bright orange Alfa Romeo Montreal. Having fostered an inherent love for cars ever since, he’s now used his talents to create a 21st-century take on the extravagant Gandini-designed coupé. The fabulous renders are Vision GT-esque and were painstakingly created to transport Serafini back to his childhood and that impressionable evening. All the Montreal’s signature features have been retained, though modernised in line with contemporary design trends. We particularly love the intricate chrome headlight arrangement that retains the original eyebrows. We sincerely hope somebody at Alfa Romeo has taken note – after all, we know a new 8C is in the works.
