Bugatti joins SOC x Classic Driver Andermatt
It's been 20 years since the first Bugatti Veyrons were delivered to their lucky owners. The W16 wonder from Molsheim opened a new chapter in automotive history, pulverised all previous performance benchmarks, and created the 1,000+ horsepower hypercar genre of the new millennium. Continuing the legacy started by visionary engineer Ettore Bugatti in 1909 and revived by Romano Artioli in 1987 for a brief comeback, Bugatti's new owners, Volkswagen, and their charismatic leader Ferdinand Piëch once again created an automobile that changed perceptions of what was possible in terms of concept, technology, and design. “Bugatti isn't a car brand, it's a myth,” says Classic Driver CEO J.P. Rathgen. “We could not have wished for a better headline partner for the inaugural SOC x Classic Driver Andermatt event.”
