Looking back on Ferrari's greatest hits at Le Mans

For the first time since 1973, Ferrari will return to racing in the WEC and, of course, Le Mans in 2023. This means that we will see Ferrari entering an entirely new hypercar to compete against Toyota, Peugeot, Porsche and Audi on the Circuit de la Sarthe in just two years. In the meantime, we are looking back at Ferrari's greatest Le Mans endurance race cars and victories with a selection of memorabilia from the Classic Driver Shop.

Automobilist celebrates the past, present and future of motorsport

The Daytona-winning Brumos Racing 911 Carrera RSR tackling the 29th Moon Race, a 48-hour endurance challenge around the Giordano Bruno Crater on the Lunar surface. The Salzburg 917K tackling a utopian 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2054. The 12th Martian Race on the Northeast Syrtis Circuit starring the ex-Carrera Panamericana 356 SL. Automobilist has put this trio of illustrious Porsche racers in intriguing contexts that merge motorsport history with a dream-like future.

Which is your favourite decade of Formula 1?

Juan Manuel Fangio’s Maserati 250F, Jim Clark’s Lotus 25, Jackie Stewart’s Tyrrell 006, Ayrton Senna’s McLaren MP4/4, Nigel Mansell’s Williams FW14B, Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F2002 and Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes-AMG W10. It’s fair to say Automobilist chose the most definitive cars from their respective decades for its new Formula 1 70th anniversary collection. Each of the eight posters (there’s an additional one depicting the Formula 1 car of the future) is available either as a Collector’s Edition, limited to 700 pieces each, or a Limited Edition.

Turning classic Ferraris into glorious sculptures with Kessel Art

Our passion for classic cars is rarely confined to the road itself. If you’re anything like us, it’s a ‘fever’ pervades your everyday lives. Fortunately, the Classic arm of Ronnie Kessel’s automotive empire in Lugano recognises this and has created a plethora of Ferrari-inspired art installations that belong not in your garage but in your home.
