- Less than 9000 km from origin
- Never restored and strictly original
- 34 years in the same family
This Fiat 500 was purchased new on July 18, 1969 from the "Garage de la Gare" of Chambery by the administrator of Savoy region, who offered it to his wife. The latter, who didn't care too much about driving, covered only 6000 km, in 34 years. Always garaged in optimal conditions, away from moisture and light, the Fiat 500 changed ownership in 2003 and then again in 2012.
At our test drive, the counter showed just 8,771 km from new. Having never been restored, it is presented in its strict original configuration, in antique ivory color (234), with optional fabric seat covers at the front and rear, and a seat belt for the driver. It comes equipped with its original accessories: its jack, tools in their original Fiat toolkit and original maintenance manual.
The paint is in an original state, its engine seems never to have been opened up, being strictly original too. All rubber, plastics, the electrical wiring and different cables demonstrate the exceptional state of conservation of this car.
The current owner also confirmed its perfect driveability. This automobile icon provides a unique feeling: the one the buyer of a new Fiat 500 could feel when he took possession of his new car at the dealership, but back in 1969. This is an opportunity that will not come anytime soon as it is rare to come across a copy preserved as carefully as this one.
