This Black Series AMG channels its inner Gullwing

Mechatronik is currently offering a very special SL 65 Black Series. Originally delivered to the Middle East with red leather, this 670 hp V12 car features a retrofitted tartan interior that gracefully references the 300 SL. The mileage stands at just 15,150 kilometers.

The Black Series iteration of the fifth generation SL served as the absolute spearhead for Mercedes in the late two thousands. Developed by HWA, the muscular coupe shared very little with the standard roadster. A fixed carbon roof and an incredibly wide bodykit provided a fitting visual representation of the immense power generated by the 670 hp V12 biturbo engine. Foregoing the gloomy shades that were highly popular with this model, the first owner from Saudi Arabia ordered this precise car in 2009 finished in elegant Diamond White Metallic over a vibrant red leather cabin.

Following the return of the car to Germany a few years later, a defining transformation took place inside the cockpit. The original leather seat centers were swapped for the historically characteristic tartan fabric. Color matched flawlessly to the existing red leather, the interior now serves as a tasteful tribute to the legendary 300 SL of the nineteen fifties and sixties. Beneath the sculpted hood, however, the automobile remains an absolute force of nature. Pumping out 1,000 Nm of torque, this incredible V12 stood as the most powerful production Mercedes for more than a decade. This exceptional SL is now awaiting a new custodian at Mechatronik with only 15,150 kilometers on the clock.
