When Ferrari launched its XX-racing programme, the intent was to provide restricted track weapons to selected customers. These uncompromising bolides were initially kept under Maranello's lock and key, while being unleashed only during official motorsport events. However, private ownership of these apex predators is a reality today. Amian Collection Cars is currently offering a spectacular 2010 Ferrari 599 XX Evo, presenting a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most extreme front-engined berlinettas ever to wear the Prancing Horse badge.

Finished in a deeply menacing Silverstone Grey, this specific example sheds the traditional red for a far more sinister grey over black aesthetic. It is an unrestricted track monster completely free from road homologation and racing regulations. Powering this beast is a naturally aspirated 6.0 litre V12 engine that delivers 750 PS at a screaming 9000 rpm alongside 700 Nm of torque. This immense power is managed by a six-speed sequential gearbox firing off shifts in an eye-watering 60 milliseconds. With the side pipe exhaust system routed to exit directly behind the front wheels, the lack of silencers allows the V12 to produce one of the most visceral symphonies in Ferrari’s history.

While the standard 599XX made history as the first production-based car to break the seven-minute barrier at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the Evoluzione package pushes physics even further. Weighing just 1310 kilograms, it is lighter and significantly more advanced. The secret to its cornering excellence lies in its Formula 1 inspired active aerodynamics. The rear wing features a dual flap system that adjusts automatically based on steering angle and speed to deliver up to 440 kilograms of downforce. This is complemented by the ingenious Actiflow system utilizing twin fans in the trunk to literally suck the car to the tarmac, while carbon fibre wheel doughnuts extract brake heat and reduce turbulence around the Pirelli slick tyres.

With only 29 examples ever built or upgraded to Evo specification globally, this masterpiece is one of the rarest factory-racers from Maranello. Having covered 5002 kilometres in the last sixteen years, the 599 XX Evo offered by Amian Collection Cars stands ready to deliver an unparalleled driving experience that can’t be matched by the manufacturer's new electrified models.
