This significant pair of 1950s Ferrari racers has just hit the market

Both of Copley Motorcars’ Ferrari sports-racers both derive from the former stable of Tony Parravano, the construction tycoon and 1950s West Coast racing pioneer who had more than a penchant for Enzo Ferrari’s exotic cars. Parravano hired the very best drivers to race his cars, including Ken Miles, Richie Ginther, and Carroll Shelby, the latter of whom piloted both of these special cars.

Jochen Mass reunites with his 1987 Kyalami-winning Porsche 962

The car in question, which is currently for sale with Classic Driver dealer Duncan Hamilton ROFGO, is a Porsche 962C fitted with a special and ultra-aerodynamic body by its original owner, the British privateer Richard Lloyd. “Richard always had an ambition to build a quicker car than the factory could,” recalled Jochen Mass as he prepared to strap in for his first run up the world-famous Goodwood hill-climb.
