Silent summer loving 

An Iso Grifo convertible, Fiat Shellette 850 Special, a smattering of staggeringly beautiful 1960s and ’70s motorcycles and a Prinoth snowcat with horse-hair upholstery. You only had to look at the diverse selection of exquisite vehicles exhibited on Stuart Parr’s stand at Rétromobile earlier this year to understand his deep-rooted and nuanced passion for Italian design. And by no means does his interest end there.

Such was the entirely bespoke nature of the cars hand-crafted at Aston Martin’s Newport Pagnell plant in the 1980s and ’90s that virtually anything was possible when it came to specification – provided customers were suitably well-heeled, that was.
