Marking 25 years of partnership with Rolex, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca gathers around 500 authentic racing chassis spanning from pre-1920 endurance pioneers to 2010s GT3 machinery. Early morning fog lifts over the Monterey Peninsula as a 150-strong procession of historical machinery — ranging from pre-war Delahayes with exotic coachbuilt bodies to mid-century Ferrari 250 GT California Spiders — embarks on a 65-mile coastal circuit. Crossing 17-Mile Drive and negotiating the scenic coastal curves toward Big Sur, the driving tour requires these multi-million-dollar jewels to prove their operational capability under real-world conditions.

Legends of the Autobahn, August 13

Set against the oceanfront fairways of Pacific Grove Golf Links, this targeted display brings together the finest engineering traditions of Stuttgart, Munich, and Ingolstadt across multiple generations. Visitors can trace design evolutions directly, comparing the iconic tubular-spaceframe Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing against homologation specials like the BMW M3 Sport Evolution and Audi Sport Quattro.

RM Sotheby's Monterey, August 13–15

Taking over the Monterey Conference Center, this three-day auction serves as a definitive barometer for the global luxury collector market. High-profile lots span decades of rare production and race cars, from a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport to analog modern icons such as the "Pop Art" McLaren F1 GTR, once owned by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason.

Broad Arrow Auctions - The Quail Auction 2026, August 13-14

This year, Broad Arrow takes over from Bonhams as the official auction partner of The Quail. Providing a lighthearted palate cleanser to the week's high-dollar glamour, Seaside City Hall hosts a tongue-in-cheek celebration of oddball designs, questionable engineering, and commercial flops. The display welcomes everything from rusty 1970s econoboxes like the AMC Pacer to plastic-clad 2000s missteps like the Pontiac Aztek, a humorous tribute to the everyday mechanical failures that the rest of the week politely chooses to ignore.

Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, August 16

Celebrating its historic 75th edition, the prestigious event on the Pebble Beach Golf Links brings together pristine historical masterpieces, with Vignale as featured coachbuilder and Ferrari as featured marque, represented by its overall Le Mans winners and the NART competition cars campaigned by Luigi Chinetti. Marking 60 years of the Lamborghini Miura, over 40 historic examples will assemble on the 3rd fairway, opening this specific section of the course for the first time in event history. Following rigorous judging based on authenticity and elegance, the day culminates in the crowning of the Best of Show recipient, who receives a specially engraved Rolex timepiece.
