We’ve been lucky enough to experience some breath-taking events over our 28 years at Classic Driver. Traversing the Swiss Alps in pre-war Bugattis to grabbing coffee with movie stars while surrounded by priceless race machines, but we can now add mingling with the Middle East’s most die-hard Porsche lovers at Icons of Porsche to our list. Spread across two days, this event celebrated every element of the brand’s successes, including 60 years of the Targa name, 25 years of the Carrera GT and a plethora of world exclusive releases including the first chance to see the all-new Porsche Cayenne Electric. There was plenty to see, but thankfully JP Rathgen and Elliot Newton were on hand to soak it all in and report back.
