Which McRae is quickest in Colin’s Safari Rally-winning Subaru?

A miraculously dry Welsh special stage, two members of rallying’s biggest family and the Subaru in which the late, great Colin McRae won the 1997 Safari Rally. Girardo & Co. set the stage for a very special race. All that was left to say to Jimmy and Alister McRae was ‘If in doubt, flat out!’

McRae vs. McRae

Colin McRae’s father Jimmy and brother Alister have both forged their own successful careers in rallying, but who is quicker on the dirt today? Being the fortunate custodians of the Subaru Impreza with which Colin clinched his first WRC-era victory, the 1997 Safari Rally in Kenya, our friends at Girardo & Co. decided to head to Wales to find out. They even called up Colin’s old co-driver Nicky Grist and persuaded him to strap into ‘P8 WRC’ and read the pace notes one more time. You're not going to want to miss this one – especially when the party is interrupted by a third McRae...
