Here it is: The first production Ferrari Sergio

As a tribute to Sergio Pininfarina, the Ferrari Sergio celebrated its premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Now a small series of just six specimens of the (very) limited edition roadster has begun – and the first has been delivered to the United Arab Emirates…

With this radical roadster (the concept didn't even have a windscreen), the design studio Pininfarina celebrated not only the great designer Sergio Pininfarina, but also its 60-year collaboration with Ferrari. And, happily, this time it’s not only a motor show concept: based on the Ferrari 458 Spider, a very limited production run of just six cars is currently planned. Although the production version is not quite as radical as the Barchetta design study, the look is very reminiscent of the sports and racing cars of the 1960s and 1970s. And, indeed, the Ferrari Sergio should offer a huge amount of fun on the track: with 605 horsepower, the sprint from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) takes a mere three seconds. It sounds ideal for the first customers in Abu Dhabi, with the Yas Marina circuit on the doorstep.
