Unless you’re Sean Connery filming the legendary car chase scene for Goldfinger in your Aston Martin DB5, mortals rarely have a chance to properly drive the bends and hairpins of the legendary Furkapass in the Swiss Alps without the usual traffic — bikers, retired motorcycle riders, and Dutch motorhomes included. But for our upcoming SOC x Classic Driver Andermatt event and road rally, we have managed to convince the local authorities to close not only the Furkapass, but also the Oberalppass exclusively for our small and fast-paced travel group.

The Furka Pass is one of the most celebrated driving roads in the world: dramatic switchbacks, towering granite peaks, glacier views, and a rhythm of corners that has captivated enthusiasts for generations. The Oberalp Pass, meanwhile, offers sweeping curves, high-altitude scenery, and long flowing sections that perfectly complement the more technical character of the Furka. Together, they create the ultimate alpine driving experience — especially when experienced completely free of public traffic.

From 26–28 June 2026, SOC x Classic Driver Andermatt will bring together an extraordinary selection of classic cars, modern icons, and future collectibles for a weekend dedicated to driving, design, and automotive culture. Participants will stay at The Chedi Andermatt, enjoy curated culinary experiences, and take part in the Heritage Parade through the center of Andermatt, where every car and its story will be celebrated before the public by Classic Driver CEO J.P. Rathgen as the master of ceremony.
Saturday’s alpine rally will cover roughly 340 kilometres of Switzerland’s most spectacular mountain roads, including exclusive closed-road sections across the Oberalp and Furka Passes, before descending towards Ambri Airport in Ticino and returning to Andermatt for an unforgettable evening among fellow enthusiasts.

We are especially proud to welcome Bugatti as the official patron of the inaugural event. Marking 20 years of the Bugatti Veyron, the weekend will celebrate the brand’s unmatched legacy of innovation, engineering, and speed with a remarkable line-up of historic and contemporary Bugattis, unique factory-supported cars, and a number of surprise guests from the world of automotive excellence.
Applications are now open for one of the final remaining spots. If you own a special classic car, supercar, or future classic and want to experience the Swiss Alps the way they were meant to be driven, book your VIP ticket now on the SOC website.
