The Anantara Concorso Roma is, quite simply, as Italian as it gets. Originally scheduled for 2025 but postponed following the passing of Pope Francis, the inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma has been expanded and enhanced in the intervening months. Marking the first Concours d'Elegance to be hosted in Rome since 1960, this event is dedicated entirely to the automotive heritage of its home country.
Seventy meticulously preserved and restored cars from Italian heavyweights like Ferrari, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lamborghini, and Fiat will gather under the Roman sky, with the grand Anantara Palazzo Naiadi as their elegant backdrop. Lesser-known and extinct carmakers like Siata and Bizzarrini also have their place at this curated event.
The concours’ motto, “La Dolce Vita delle Automobili,” captures the spirit perfectly: a celebration of Italian beauty, craftsmanship, and passion in one of the world's most historically rich cities. Luxury hotel group Anantara Hotels & Resorts is bringing this event to life – supported by a roster of partners including presenting partner UBS, Richard Mille, RM Sotheby's, and Maserati. The result is an event that combines serious automotive connoisseurship with the kind of refined hospitality that only Rome can offer.
The 70 competing cars are divided into 16 classes, spanning nearly a century of Italian automotive history. Pre-war Zagato-bodied Alfa Romeos and Maseratis share the spotlight with post-war icons such as the Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider and the Fiat 8V.
Ferrari is represented across multiple classes, ranging from Le Mans-winning racers like the 1963 Ferrari 275P and 1964 Ferrari 250 LM, to the exquisite Pininfarina grand tourers of the same era. The later decades are defined by the supercar theme: a Lamborghini Miura SV, a Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary, and a 1993 Bugatti EB 110 GT all feature, while the final hypercar class closes the show with a 2005 Ferrari Enzo and a 2021 Pagani Huayra Roadster BC.
Judging will take place on Saturday, April 18, led by concorso veteran Adolfo Orsi, with the winners announced on Sunday. The event is open to the public on both days. Against the backdrop of Roman palazzi, piazzas, and the warm April light, it promises to be as much a feast for the senses for true italophiles as it is for the automotive soul.
