Rennmeister celebrates the BMW M3 DTM with limited collectors edition at Ultrace

This weekend, Rennmeister will take us back to the era of DTM racing, manga videos and parking lot raves at Ultrace in Wrocław, Poland. So don't miss out on Jägermeister Racing's iconic orange BMW M3 Sport Evolution E30 DTM racer - and a very special, collectors edition bottle.

The BMW 3 series is celebrating its 50th birthday this year – and the BMW M3 E30 Sport Evolution is considered to be the most iconic of them all. The purist touring car raced for glory against Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Ford every weekend in the early 1990s in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft, internationally known as the DTM series. Every Sunday morning, the car community assembled in front of their tube TV screens to watch daring drivers like Rosberg, Stuck, Biela, Pirro, Ludwig, Schneider and Cecotto battle it out in Hockenheim, on the Nürburgring and Norisring. One of the most memorable BMW M3s of this exciting era – and a true working class hero – was piloted by Armin Hahne for Jägermeister Racing in the 1992 DTM season, wearing the orange livery and Hubertus stag. This weekend, the iconic BMW M3 will take the center stage on the Rennmeister stand at Ultrace in Wrocław, Poland, alongside a fleet of equally mythical, not yet revealed racing machines from the Jägermeister race car collection.

Tribute to the original

For the international custom car community, Ultrace has become a site of annual pilgrimage for 50,000 petrolheads – a massive festival of all things slammed, modified and tuned, with original period racing cars starring right next to the year’s craziest builds from as far away as Japan, South Korea and Australia. Every year, the organizers review tens of thousands of submissions and select more than 1,200 top cars to showcase at the main event. And as the E30 BMW M3 is one of the most coveted base model for drift cars, lowriders and racing replicas, the original Jägermeister Racing BMW M3 Sport Evolution DTM racer will most likely draw the crowds when it takes center stage at the all-orange Rennmeister stand at Ultrace this weekend.

Strictly limited!

While the Ex-Armin Hahne BMW M3 will return to it's home in the Rennmeister collection in Wolfenbüttel after the weekend, guests at Ultrace will have the rare chance to buy one of only 560 Jägermeister Racing Collectors Edition Volume 1992 box sets. Each of the sets includes a highly desirable and artfully customized bottle of Jägermeister and a scale model of the exact same BMW M3 on display at the event. Created by the Jägermeister and the Rennmeister team in collaboration with the renowned artist James Martin, Classic Driver's creative consultancy CD Works and the London based agency Haines McGregor, the box set pays homage to the iconic BMW M3. Meanwhile, the package design playfully reminds us of the Japanese Manga VHS cassettes we collected in our teenage bedrooms in the early 1990s – always tempted to tape them over to document the final race of the DTM season. The limited edition box sets will only be offered for sale at Ultrace, so don't even think about missing out on this summer's hottest car culture collectable.
