The new car uses a similar hard-top set-up to its predecessor, the 458 Spider, apparently saving 25kg in comparison to a fabric roof set-up. Thanks to the spaceframe chassis, it’s also said to have the same torsional rigidity as its 488 GTB sibling (and is supposedly 23% stiffer than its reclining-roof predecessor).
