Pullman Editions and the renaissance of Art Deco posters

Founded in 2010, Pullman Editions designs and publishes timeless Art Deco-style posters, whose subjects often extend beyond the vibrant pre-War epoch in which eye-catching posters were originally used as advertisements for holiday destinations. The core Pullman Editions posters are organised into themed collections, including those focusing on specific automotive marques (Ferrari, Bentley and Alfa Romeo, for example) along with more traditional holiday resort and winter sports designs.

I Got Rhythm – How Jazz music inspired art

The great author F. Scott Fitzgerald christened the era between the two World Wars the ‘Jazz Age’, when the triumphant music of former slaves in New Orleans exploded into European popular culture in a relatively short period of time. The special exhibition ‘I Got Rhythm. Art and Jazz since 1920’ at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart proves that jazz has always been more than just the soundtrack to a new creative way of life.

When art meets cars, with London gallerist Juliette Loughran

Daughter of well-respected luxury and classic car dealer William Loughran, it was almost inevitable that Juliette Loughran would become a ‘car girl’. Her earliest automotive memory involved peering beyond the humped bonnet of a 4-cam 275 GTB, and squealing with excitement as her father wound up its long-legged V12. But for Juliette, while the automotive magic that captures the imagination of so many of us has never dulled, it was a fascination with modern art that saw her create her own success.

‘The Stig’ – Bryan Adams sets the scene with the Jaguar XF

The exhibition is titled ‘The Stig – photography Bryan Adams’, referring to the famous anonymous racing driver from the BBC’s Top Gear programme (hence the female model’s masked face). Produced in London in collaboration with Zoo magazine, the images can be seen from 23 January to 21 February in the first German Jaguar Land Rover boutique, at Munich’s Odeonsplatz.
