Harley-Davidson is probably the most famous motorcycle manufacturer in the world. The Milwaukee-based company was founded in 1901 by Bill Harley and Arthur Davidson, and the first Harley-Davidson motorcycle was produced in 1903. In 1904, production output was up to eight machines a year, and in 1906 rose again to fifty. Within ten years, it was producing 18,000 machines per year.
