Peter Auto’s enthralling classic motorsport series brings its finale to Portugal

2023 is almost done and dusted for the classic racers and teams, but not without one final battle at Estoril Classic. This jam-packed event is set to be one of the most thrilling of the year, so let’s take a closer look at what to expect…

Picture the scene, you’ve spent the entirety of 2023 pounding round some of Europe’s greatest circuits in your stone-chipped, battle-scarred, rubber-cladded classic racer, with memories that will last a lifetime. You’ve feathered the wheel through Raddion and Eau Rouge, you’ve redlined down the Mulsanne Straight, and now, the year of non-stop action comes to its conclusion, with the sun-drenched landscape of Portugal’s Estoril Circuit as the stage.

The circuit itself holds its own place in motorsport history for many fans, the winding and undulating circuit played host to Ayrton Senna’s first Formula One win way back in 1985, with some incredible battles coming years later, most notably Jacques Villeneuve’s improbable overtaking of Michael Schumacher in 1996. Therefore, it’s fair to say this circuit isn’t for the faint of heart, but Peter Auto’s racers are readier than ever for one final challenge.

Using the Indian summer heat and sunlight to their advantage, Estoril Classic will see hundreds of classics in attendance, ranging from the mighty Endurance Racing Legends, through to the ever-popular Porsche 911 2.0-Litre Cup, a series that has seen some closely fought battles with every trip to a new destination.

Taking place this weekend from October 6th to 8th, Estoril Classic 2023 is set to be the biggest version of the event yet and will see thousands of eager spectators flood the grandstands and viewing areas for a slice of the on-track action. While the racing takes place, like every Peter Auto circuit event, there is just as much action off the circuit, too, with hundreds of vendors lining the inside of the circuit, as well as the chance for spectators to get closer than ever to some of the world’s most famed race machines.

Tickets for Estoril Classic 2023 are still available to purchase online, and can be found along with more information about the event on Peter Auto’s website.
