Who didn’t dream of a Mercedes-Benz ‘Gullwing’ or a Ferrari racing car as a child? Now you can realise that dream, with this wonderful collection of historic pedal cars. It will be auctioned by Aguttes next week in Lyon, and comprises miniature versions of many of the great automobiles of the time. There are racers from Bugatti, Ferrari and Lotus, but also road-going cars from Alfa Romeo, Peugeot and Renault. And just how good does the Citroën DS look – the ideal car for a leisurely ride around the Luxembourg Gardens?  Whether the children of today would enjoy these nostalgic toys as much as their fathers and grandfathers is entirely questionable.
