All we want for Christmas is this slantnosed renndeer

If Santa Claus ever decided to trade in his reindeer for something with a little more horsepower, this Porsche 930 Turbo S Slantnose might be the ideal replacement. Ludicrously rare, ridiculously fast, and suitably jolly in this shade of Guards Red, it’s the perfect ride for spreading festive cheer!

If you ask us, it’s time Santa Claus traded in Rudolf and company for something with a combustion engine. However, finding a suitably special vehicle to replace a herd of flying reindeer is no easy task, but fortunately we just found the perfect ride: a factory-built Sonderwunsch Porsche 930 Turbo S Slantnose, finished in an appropriate shade of Guards Red.

One of just five cars commissioned through Bruce Canepa, this unicorn was delivered new to four-time Indy 500 champion Rick Mears, whose signature still graces the engine bay. It ticks all the boxes of the most desirable options available at the time, arriving in the full Turbo S Leistungssteigerung specification. This means you’ll find a 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six nestled between the rear wheels, pushing out a mighty 330 horsepower. Far more than just a power bump, this configuration required extensive reengineering, including bespoke bodywork, additional oil cooling systems, and a distinctive quad-exit exhaust.

Step inside, and you’ll find the original Sonderwunsch interior specification remains untouched, featuring full leather across the dashboard, centre tunnel, centre console, door cards, and rear quarters. As if it wasn’t luxurious enough, there’s even a generous helping of wood trim along the dashboard and around the instrument cluster. Normally we’d reserve red over beige as an Italian machine-only specification, but somehow it perfectly suits this highly-optioned slantnose. Undeniably one of the most desirable 930-generation 911s ever to leave Stuttgart, we wouldn’t delay if you can see a spot for this incredible slantnose Turbo S for sale with Rock ’N Roll Classics in your garage.
