The Sonderwunsch Porsche 911 Classic Club Coupe is a one-off 996 GT3 Touring

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a factory-built 996-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Touring, now’s your chance, as this glorious one-off Classic Club Coupe goes under the hammer with Broad Arrow Auctions between June 8th and 10th.

Unlike the 997 — and more recently the 992 — versions of Porsche’s venerable rear-engined sports car, the 996 never received the Sport Classic treatment. At least that was the case before this sub-zero cool one-off from Porsche’s Sonderwunsch department was unveiled. Designed by Porsche’s director of special projects, Grant Larson, with the help of Porsche Club of America, this Sport Grey Metallic beauty has been dubbed the Classic Club Coupe

Unlike the Turbo S-derived 992 Sport Classic, the Classic Club Coupe borrows its powertrain, brakes, and suspension from the cult-classic 996.2 911 GT3. That means this Mezger-engined driver’s dream boasts a 381 horsepower water-cooled flat-six that revs all the way up to 8000 rpm. Couple that with a six-speed manual and you have one of the tastiest 911s of the 21st Century. We’re just scratching the surface of all the lovely details on this bespoke creation, so be sure to check out the listing as part of Broad Arrow’s Porsche 75th Anniversary Auction between June 8th and 10th.
