Someone specced his Porsche 996 Turbo like a Bentley

Beige leather and burr walnut were all the rage in turn-of-the-century Bentleys. The original Luxembourgish owner of this 996 Turbo, soon getting auctioned off by RM Sotheby's, applied this theme to the 911. It is a stylistic clash that works surprisingly well.

While the Porsche 911 became significantly more comfortable with the introduction of the 996 generation, it remained a thoroughbred sports car at heart, particularly in its 420 hp Turbo iteration. Originally Delivered to Luxembourg in February 2002, the first owner wanted to maximize this newfound luxury potential. Featuring a lavishly appointed individual interior with Magnolia leather upholstery, abundant light burr walnut trim, and an elegant Orient Red exterior, the car exudes a distinctly British flair. As a result, this 2000s icon channels Bentley vibes far more than typical Porsche aesthetics.

The original buyer clearly spared no expense when browsing the options list. Beyond the bespoke cabin, the specification includes xenon headlights, the PDK-gearbox, a car phone and a Bose sound system, heated seats, rear parking sensors, and an electric sunroof. After leaving Luxembourg, the car spent the majority of its life in France before eventually arriving in Germany. Over the years, this 996, a generation growing increasingly popular among Porsche enthusiasts, received regular scheduled maintenance. Its most recent service was completed in September 2025 by the Berlin-based specialist Lundtauto, at which point the odometer read approximately 62.000 kilometers. RM Sotheby's will auction the red fried-egg headlight Turbo on July 4 at their Tegernsee event, with an estimated sale price between 70.000 and 120.000 euros.
