Das Treffen has become easily one of our favourite events of the year, capping off the calendar with what has grown to become Southeast Asia’s biggest Porsche celebration. Last weekend, the milestone 10th edition of Das Treffen took over IMPACT Speed Park in Bangkok, Thailand, attracting over 3,800 Porsche enthusiasts and a whopping 734 cars.

As always, we must mention the man behind this incredible celebration: Porsche aficionado Sihabutr “Tenn” Xoomsai. Tenn sparked the idea behind Das Treffen when it was just a casual gathering of like-minded Porsche fundis, now 10 instalments later, Das Treffen X is nothing short of a cultural phenomenon, where every Porsche — no matter its age, value or originality — is welcome, connecting generations through a shared passion.

Das Treffen X was made all the more spectacular through a series of immersive, themed zones curated by Porsche around the dedicated Porsche Thailand hospitality village. Exclusive merch and racing simulators galore allowed guests to discover Porsche’s rich history at Porsche Lifestyle Boutique, and that’s before we even mention the cars.

One automotive standout could be found at the Motorsport zone: a legendary Porsche 956, flown straight in from the Porsche Museum. The 956 secured four consecutive overall victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1982 to 1985, cementing the model as one of the most dominant racing machines of all time. Keeping the 956 company was its modern-day counterpart, the formidable 963 LMDh race car, fresh from its IMSA Championship triumph and second-place finish at Le Mans 2025.

However, heroes of the tarmac weren’t the only stars of the show. At the Adventure zone, an incredible specially-prepared Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé – built in Malaysia for Thailand and famed for its remarkable 22,000-kilometre journey from Bangkok to Stuttgart across 17 countries in 61 days – served as a testament to the endurance and all-terrain capability of these SUVs.
Meanwhile, the Performance zone showcased a plethora of 911s and 718s, the Urban zone gave a glimpse into Porsche’s electrified future with the Taycan and Macan, and the Heritage zone provided a perfect celebration of the marque’s cultural legacy with the limited edition 911 Spirit 70, resplendent in the vibrant colours and patterns of the 1970s.

As the sun dropped below the horizon, the party only continued to pick up steam, with celebrations continuing into the evening at Curvistan Bangkok with the Porsche Club Night. There, over 280 Porsche Club members from all over Asia witnessed the official opening of Curvistan’s latest exhibition, curated by Stefan Bogner and fittingly dedicated to the “Porsche Communities”.

“Reaching ten editions of Das Treffen is something I never expected when we first gathered here as a small group of enthusiasts,” Tenn reflected on the event. “This achievement has been made possible only through the steadfast support of our partners and the incredible Porsche community across Asia. Their dedication and passion for Porsche brings this event to life year after year, and for this my team and I are deeply grateful – and genuinely excited for what the next decade will bring.”
Das Treffen X was undeniable proof that the Porsche scene in Southeast Asia is only growing from strength to strength, and we can't wait for this cultural extravaganza to return next year for the 11th edition.
