2004 Porsche 996 GT3 RS

Der Porsche 996 GT3 RS ist eine straßenzugelassene Weiterentwicklung des 996 GT3 und wurde in limitierter Stückzahl für Kunden mit echter Motorsport-Leidenschaft gebaut. Insgesamt entstanden nur 682 Exemplare weltweit – alle nummeriert und mit klarer Ausrichtung auf Leichtbau und Fahrdynamik.

Angetrieben wird der GT3 RS vom bekannten 3,6-Liter-Sechszylinder-Boxermotor mit Trockensumpfschmierung, der direkt aus dem Motorsport stammt (sogenannter Mezger-Motor). Er leistet 381 PS und dreht bis 8.200 U/min. Geschaltet wird klassisch per 6-Gang-Handschaltung.

Im Vergleich zum normalen GT3 wurde der RS unter anderem leichter gemacht (durch Carbonteile, dünnere Scheiben und Weglassen von Komfortausstattung), bekam ein strafferes Fahrwerk und eine nochmals präzisere Abstimmung. Optisch fällt er durch das weiße Grunddesign mit roten oder blauen Dekorstreifen und das feststehende Heckteil auf – alles funktionale Elemente zur Verbesserung der Fahrleistung.

Der 996 GT3 RS gilt heute als moderner Klassiker mit echtem Sammlerpotenzial. Er war das erste RS-Modell der modernen GT-Baureihe und steht am Anfang einer bis heute erfolgreichen Modellreihe.

Das hier gezeigte Fahrzeug wurde am 14.06.2004 über das Porsche Zentrum Koblenz an einen Liebhaber der Marke aus Löhne in Ostwestfalen ausgeliefert. Der Erstbesitzer orderte das Fahrzeug mit der folgenden Ausstattung:

Am 15.12.2007 kaufte der zweite Besitzer aus der Nähe von Freiburg den GT3 RS mit einer Laufleistung von 9.020 km und pflegte das Fahrzeug die nächsten 18 Jahre. Die aktuelle Laufleistung beträgt 10.484 km.

2004 Porsche 996 GT3 RS

The Porsche 996 GT3 RS is a road-legal further development of the 996 GT3 and was built in limited numbers for customers with a real passion for motorsport. A total of only 682 units were built worldwide - all numbered and with a clear focus on lightweight construction and driving dynamics.

The GT3 RS is powered by the familiar 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with dry sump lubrication, which comes directly from motorsport (the so-called Mezger engine). It delivers 381 hp and revs up to 8,200 rpm. The classic 6-speed manual gearbox is used.

Compared to the normal GT3, the RS has been made lighter (thanks to carbon parts, thinner windows and the omission of comfort features), has a firmer chassis and even more precise tuning. Visually, it stands out with its white basic design with red or blue decorative stripes and the fixed rear section - all functional elements to improve driving performance.

Today, the 996 GT3 RS is considered a modern classic with real collector's potential. It was the first RS model in the modern GT series and marks the beginning of a model series that is still successful today.

The vehicle shown here was delivered on June 14, 2004 via the Porsche Center Koblenz to an enthusiast of the brand from Löhne in East Westphalia. The first owner ordered the vehicle with the following equipment:

On December 15, 2007, the second owner from near Freiburg bought the GT3 RS with a mileage of 9,020 km and maintained the vehicle for the next 18 years. The current mileage is 10,484 km.
