Luxurious four-seater cabriolet
Sought-after 280 SE version
In good condition

Of American provenance, this car has had the benefit of a comprehensive restoration a few years ago in the USA. Some details need improvement, nevertheless the dark green paint and the chrome are in good condition. The beige leather upholstery, as well as the hood combine to make for a very flattering set. Equipped with an automatic transmission, this car has the advantage of being equipped with a properly working air-conditioning system, and electric windows. It features a modern Pioneer car stereo, embellishing leisurely drives offered by such a luxurious four-seater convertible. Since its purchase in 2013 in California, the car's current owner did get some work done, by Cochera in Spain, a brand specialist. The fuel pump has been replaced, as well as the brake calipers and steering ball joints. The car works properly and will be sold with its protective cover.
At the time of its launch, this model was sold for 48,000 francs, which was then four times the price of a Citroën DS. The design of this car was a real aesthetic success, and was hardly altered until the production stopped in 1971, ten years after its launch.
Under the hood of this luxury tourer is a set of mechanicals worthy of its standing. The model on offer is equipped with a six-cylinder overhead valve unit, both flexible and reliable, in a 2.8-liters version, which was one of the most advanced then. Its 160bhp makes it possible to reach 190 km/h, making this car a smooth long distances rider.
