Description
This 1965 Jaguar E-type series 4.2 Coupe, has enjoyed being taken care of by a long-term owner, who regularly used the car for his everyday enjoyment, ensuring his Jaguar was regularly serviced and maintained. The provenance recording the cars maintenance and upkeep is both rare as documentation as well as proof of its recorded mileage.

With just 4 registered keepers, the 1st being the Jaguar dealership and the 2nd the long-term keeper who owned the car in his business and latterly privately, for over 25 years.

A copy of Autocar’s 1965 road test, proved that these 4.2 E-types would genuinely exceed 150 mph and reach 0-60 in a little over 7 seconds!

Provenance
The documentation for this car is exceptional, as it includes the original service book, fully stamped by the main dealer from its 1st service at 940 miles, through to 1976 at 90,000 miles.
Besides its original service book, the car comes with every MOT, and its Jaguar operating maintenance and service handbook, together with its Owner’s service policy document.
Maintenance and remedial works
The service records contain notes on the change of mechanical parts as required, and in 1999 the car had a lead-free cylinder head modification, together with gas flowing the cylinder head
In 2008 the car went to CMC motor company (Jaguar restoration specialists) and had new floors and sills, with various other works, which are detailed in the correspondence and supporting invoices
In 2010 the car had new brake calipers and wire wheels, via SNG Barrat Group.
In 2025 / 26 the present owner undertook a thorough recommissioning of COL 600C, which included replacing.
