History:
This Jaguar E-Type 3.8 was assembled in March 1963 and delivered new to New York for its first owner, who lived in Detroit, Michigan, and kept it for only a few years.
In 1969, the second owner, also from Michigan, purchased it and kept it until his death in 1997. His son then inherited it. Extensive restoration work was undertaken during the 2000s, and all work is documented with invoices. The current owner purchased the car and imported it through a specialized professional in 2018. He is a meticulous collector based in Aix-en-Provence. He has decided to sell it to free up space in his garage.

Condition:

This Type-E is in exceptional overall condition, both aesthetically and mechanically. The mechanical components are in very reassuring condition, close to new.
The bodywork was carefully restored about twenty years ago. A removable license plate holder is installed at the front to make it easier to open the hood.

The interior is in superb condition, having been completely refurbished in 2004 and very well maintained ever since. The original Blaupunkt radio is still in place.

The engine starts easily and is a pleasure to drive. The overdrive works very well. The handling is reassuring.
Structurally, this is a very sound car.
