This Ford Mustang was delivered new by Ford Nancy on April 17th, 1965, to an employee of the USAF Toul-Rosières base. Out from the factory in gray, it was repainted in white by the dealer Ford Nancy before the delivery of the car. Indeed, French distributors used to repaint the Mustang themselves to avoid lengthening delivery times. The Mustang was equipped with the following options: 225HP Challenger Special V8 289ci engine, 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission, Deluxe wheels with hubs and white-wall tires, full lengh center console, car radio, reverse lights, two-speed wipers, power steering, Rally Pac, Special Handling Package (reinforced suspension and specific steering ratio), specific sunshades and hazard warning lights. When the NATO bases were closed, the car was sold to its second owner, who handed it over to the Nancy Automobile Museum. After his death, the car was recovered by his widow who stocked it in a barn until 2014, the car had traveled just over 60 000 kilometers since delivery. It was then acquired by its current owner who tackled a huge work of restarting. All the mechanical parts and undercarriage were reviewed and documented in pictures, whether the engine, the deck, the transmission shaft and the gearbox, everything was checked and revised if necessary. The brakes have of course received new elements, just like the suspensions. The aesthetics was also partly revised with a refurbishment or replacement of any time-marked piece. The upholstery and paint were preserved, only the pavilion - equipped in the past with a skai trim - was repainted in the white color of the bodywork. Today it is one of the most beautiful Ford Mustang 289 for sale at the moment. Its history is limpid, it is a car of French origin, in a state very close to the origin, with 67 000 kilometers, and all the mechanical part was recently reviewed! In itself, this Mustang is a true classic Mustang!
