Finished in a pristine coat of Grigio Titanio, the angular body of this mighty V12 GT presents in top order. A particularly strong colour for the halo V12 model, the paintwork is in excellent condition with a deep hue that sparkles beautifully with only a dusting of chips to the bonnet in keeping with the age and mileage covered. The covered headlights are in good order and spread evenly outside of the large centre air intake allowing the large capacity engine all the available air intake necessary. Two side exit grilles adorn the flanks to allow heat dissipation, a well designed feature and a nod to the classic V12 Ferraris of bygone days.

The cabin of this 550 is beautifully appointed and has been exceptionally well looked after over the years. Grigio Scuro leather covers the majority, piped in matching dark grey and beautifully stitched using only the finest hide, whilst the black carpets and dash top offers a luxurious contrast; summarised by the perfectly executed parcel shelf combination. The interior space is further defined with subtle chrome features around the air vents, dials and of course the centerpiece gated manual gear stick and signature drilled pedals.

The interior is free from any rips, tears or unsightly marks and the switch gear coating, prone to wear on Ferrari’s of this era, is in excellent shape.

The 5.5L V12 engine is a design masterpiece and was commended with a win in the “Over 4 litre” Class of International Engine of the Year award for both 2000 and 2001, amplified accordingly in this case by a Tubi exhaust.

This example is in fine fettle having had a recent service, new belts, on top of a regular and well documented maintenance regime from new. Cam cover gaskets, amongst a myriad of other selected works, have been covered recently to ensure piece of mind going forward.

The mighty naturally aspirated engine is mated to the sublime 6 speed gated manual box which slots into every gear with a satisfying bolt action; there is no doubt that this GT will remain one of the last greats of analogue driving pleasure.

The classic 5 spoke alloys are in excellent condition and wrapped in premium rubber all round with good tread.

Brake calipers are finished in black with brake discs and pads front and back with ample friction material.

Supplied new in 1999 it was first registered by Charles Pozzi in France on the 15th October.
