MODEL HISTORY
The 550 Barchetta was created to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Pininfarina, Ferrari’s long-standing design partner. It was also Ferrari’s homage to classic barchetta-style sports cars (open-top, minimalist windshields, road-focused) like the 166 MM from the late 1940s. It was based on the Ferrari 550 Maranello (1996–2001), which marked Ferrari's return to front-engined V12 GT cars after decades of mid-engine layouts in its top-tier models. The model debuted at the 2000 Paris Motor Show and is one of the last naturally aspirated V12, open-top, manual gearbox Ferrari models which was officially numbered as only 448 units were ever produced.

ABOUT THIS 550 Barchetta
Our car, has been built in August 2001 and was delivered new to its first owner in Monaco, Monte-Carlo. In its early life the car has been used sporadically. After that the car has been bought by a family office which was located in Switzerland while the beneficiary owner used to be a leading manager of the Ferrari S.p.A. During this ownership the car has also been used on only a few occasions. Prior to being sold to another Swiss collector the car has been Ferrari Classiche certified. The then new owner decided to have the car Ferrari Premium certified in 2022 as well. During all those years the car has been serviced by official Ferrari dealerships and service points with several invoices being present. Today the car represents itself in fantastic condition. Due to the fact that it has only been used on a few occasions the total mileage of the car is just 5,489 km from new.
