MODEL HISTORY
The Ferrari 512 BB was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1976. The 512 Berlinetta Boxer was the revised successor to the 365 GT/4 Berlinetta Boxer. The key feature of the 512 BB was the twelve-cylinder engine with an increased displacement of 5 liters. The engine offered the same power at lower revs, better torque and smoother power transmission than the previous version. The body designed by Pininfarina differed only slightly from the previous model. However, some changes were not only of an aesthetic nature, but also helped to cool the engine better. Between 1976 and 1980, 929 units were built.
ABOUT THIS 512BB
Our car, has been built in October 1979 and was delivered new to its first owner in 348 North Broadway – White Plains in the state of New York on the 27th of February 1980 by Bremen Automotive. In its early life the car has been well used. The car was continuously used and after a couple of years it was imported into Switzerland with the first Swiss invoice dating back to July 1986. The car has remained in Switzerland ever since. In 1988 the car has received its 30.000 km service. After that the car has not been used much as it has been serviced 30 years later in December 2018 at 35.000 km. Whilst the car was at the garage for the service a thorough recommission incl. new paint has been carried out. In August 2019 the car has been purchased by us. Today the car is presented in a very typical colour combination of Rosso Chiaro on the exterior with Black exterior trim over Beige leather on the interior which is a typical colour combination for the 512BB. The car’s odometer currently shows a mileage of 35.101 km. Today the car is presented in great condition and ready to be experienced by its next custodian.
