This rare DS Prestige belonged to a notable Moroccan from Agadir before André Trigano acquired the car in 1978 and brought it back to France. This is a manual version and, according to the DS book by Olivier de Serres, is one of only 11 examples in this configuration in 1969, making this a very rare car. Moreover, this car benefits from features that were special to this very exclusive model, carried out by Henri Chapron in Levallois : the front and rear compartments are separated by an adjustable glass screen and the rear console includes controls for the radio, a Jaeger clock, courtesy lights and ash trays. The original tan leather upholstery, including a bench seat in the driver's compartment, in well-preserved condition gives a lovely appearance to the interior.
The car has been repainted its original black colour, and the car has the correct finish for the Pallas versions, with side trim and lower body in stainless steel. The coachwork seals have been replaced and the engine has also been overhauled. This DS 21 Prestige is a rare item, a reminder that the DS was a top-of-the-range car appreciated by politicians and businessmen. DS enthusiasts will love this wonderfully preserved example.
