Description

1988 CITROËN 2CV 6
Vehicle Registration: French
Chassis Number: VF7AZKA00KA298765
• Completely restored in 2016
• Rebuilt on a new chassis provided by the Méhari Club Cassis
• Late-model version, equipped with a 602 cm³ engine producing 29 chevaux
Produced until the late 1980s, the Citroën 2CV 6 represents the culmination of the 2CV’s technical evolution, stemming from the TPV (Toute Petite Voiture) project. In this final-generation version, it features a 602 cm³ two-cylinder engine producing 29 chevaux, paired with a manual transmission and front disc brakes. These upgrades gave it superior performance and greater versatility compared to the early versions, making the final model years particularly refined iterations of this iconic model.
The example shown here bears chassis number VF7AZKA00KA298765 and was first registered in 1988. Originally acquired as a restoration project, this 2CV has undergone a complete restoration.
The restoration notably involved rebuilding the vehicle from a new platform provided by the Méhari Club Cassis. The body was restored and then reassembled using numerous new parts, most of which were purchased from the same specialist. Mechanically, the 602 cm³ two-cylinder engine was completely disassembled, inspected, and overhauled before being reassembled.
Completed in 2016, the restoration was followed by the car’s inclusion in a private collection and a personal museum. Since then, it has been stored indoors and used sparingly to preserve its condition while ensuring it remains in good working order. Its overall appearance reflects the care taken during its restoration.
Rebuilt on a new chassis from the Méhari Club Cassis and fully restored, this 1988 Citroën 2CV 6 represents one of the final iterations of this iconic model, in a configuration that combines mechanical simplicity with versatility of use.
