The Magic Wand transmission is also present, true to the spirit of the era.

Inside, a beautiful custom-made green upholstery, in a soft and elegant shade that perfectly complements the white bodywork, is in place. Soixante ans plus tard, il se présente dans un état qui force l’admiration, parce que cette auto a été entièrement restaurée depuis la caisse nue, avec un dossier de restauration à la hauteur du travail accompli. Tout a été repris, jusqu’à la moindre vis. Rien n’a été laissé au hasard, rien n’a été contourné.

Ce qui rend ce pick-up encore plus intéressant, c’est ce qui bat sous le capot. Là où la plupart de ces utilitaires embarquaient le 850 d’origine, celui-ci a été équipé d’un 1300 cm³ qui transforme radicalement la proposition. On passe quasiment du simple au double en termes de puissance, avec un moteur souple, coupleux, qui donne à cette petite auto une aisance et une générosité qu’on n’attendait pas. La boîte Magic Wand est présente, fidèle à l’esprit de l’époque.

À bord, une belle sellerie verte a été réalisée sur mesure, d’un vert doux et élégant qui dialogue parfaitement avec le blanc de la carrosserie. Le compteur central unique des premières années est en place, le volant Bakélite d’origine est là, et un manomètre de température d’eau a été discrètement ajouté pour rouler l’esprit tranquille sans trahir l’authenticité de l’ensemble.
