A rare treat, this 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante MK1. Considered to be one of the most perfectly styled British convertibles, this is one of only 140 ever. It first saw daylight in January 1969 in England. In 1993 it was sold to a French collector who then arranged for an extensive revision by GTC Engineering. The car had the full Volante to Vantage upgrade. The clutch and brakes were replaced and the bodywork had a bare metal re-spray in her original colours. In 2004 the 3rd owner took possession and continued the maintenance in order to keep the car in tip-top condition. Having used the car only sparingly he then sold the car on to it`s 4th and last owner, a collector from Luxembourg in 2008, who again used the car rarely and continued the required maintenance. Midway through 2017, the car had a 45,000-euro revision carried out by an official Aston Martin Heritage dealer, which has been fully documented. Attention was paid to replacing the part of the front suspension, the complete revision of the brake system, the rear axle and carburettors. The bodywork is sublime with straight and perfectly fitting panels. Of course, the paintwork and chrome details are stunning. The underbody is as one would expect, uncorroded and as good as new. It has an 'Olive Green' finish with 'Tobacco' leather trim and matching hood. All numbers relating to this car can be found in the build sheet, including the matching numbers engine details. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to possess this concourse quality astonishing convertible that comes correctly documented. A very alluring investment prospect indeed!
