Jimi Hendrix: The original psychedelic Voodoo Child

Imagine yourself at London’s Roundhouse in the late 60s, herbal cigarette in hand. What sensations… what experiences. None more so than the vision of Jimi Hendrix in full flow, converting sound into a multi-coloured mixture of sight, smell and touch...

With his trademark right-handed Stratocaster (re-strung for left-handed playing), Afro hair and an eclectic selection of clothes from Kings Road boutiques and second-hand markets, Hendrix was the personification of 1960s psychedelia.
He died in London on 18 September 1970, aged 27.
