Follow us to Rho for Wannenes’ next collector car auction
There’s a distinct split between the pre-War and classic cars offered by Wannenes at its forthcoming automotive sale and the fascinating selection of ‘youngtimers’. It’s the latter that’s tugged on our heartstrings – just check out the ice-cool Maserati BiTurbo S from 1986, which might have the best interior we’ve ever seen. Whatever happened to the combination of sculpted velour and ruched leather?
It’s nice to see an Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione not in the customary red but instead in electric blue, a colour that suits the sleek coupé beautifully. And while hilariously unnecessary, the extreme 695 Biposto variant of the Abarth 500 is a car in which we’d love to take to our favourite B-road, especially with the motorsport-style dog-ring gearbox – just look at the exposed linkage! You can find our other highlights from the sale listed below or, alternatively, browse the entire catalogue in the Classic Driver Market.
