Barn-finds galore at Silverstone Auctions’ Birmingham sale

Those in search of a project to resurrect from ‘barn-find’ condition will be spoilt for choice at this weekend’s Silverstone Auctions sale. Aptly taking place at the Restoration Show in Birmingham, the lotlist comprises many forgotten treasures waiting to be gently coaxed back to their former glory…

The majority of the dilapidated lots involve British machinery, including a trio of Jensen Interceptors, a brace of Aston DBSs, several Jaguars and a couple of classic range Rovers. You'll also find rarities such as a Facel Vega HK 500 and a Maserati Kyalami – but perhaps you’d prefer to revive a pre-War Morris lorry, a Mini-based caravan, or even a late-60s milk float with small-screen provenance?

Placing focus on barn-finds appears to have paid early dividends for Silverstone Auctions, with the six-figure sale of one lot – a 1939 Lagonda V12 – being agreed before the sale has even begun.
