The Mercedes was originally delivered to Germany.
In the early 1970s, it moved to the USA with its German owner, and it came back to Austria with the original owner in July 2019.
He sold it to us, and we began the restoration.
All documents, as well as the birth certificate/docket, of this 190 are preserved as copies. A copy of the technical data sheet, which expired on 07.02.1964, is also available.

This beautiful Mercedes has been extensively restored by a Mercedes classic car restorer who has been restoring classic cars for over 60 years. He specialises in Porsche, Mercedes and Austin Healey.
He is indeed a luminary in the field of classic car restoration. When Mercedes Benz ran out of ideas, he was consulted. Over 60 years of experience in classic car restoration speaks for itself. Cars from all over the world passed through his workshop up until his retirement.

Deliberately restored and not rebuilt. During the restoration, care was taken to preserve the original as much as possible; operationally relevant and safety-relevant parts, however, were exchanged for new parts, or refurbished to be 'better than new'.

Technically, however, neither expense nor effort was spared. Engine, gearbox, axles and electrics were redone or restored using exclusively original parts.

The interior was largely retained; only what was strictly necessary was renewed. The tarpaulin, door panels and carpet are new.
The seat padding has been completely renewed, and reupholstered with the original leather.

Most of the chrome parts are also original. The windscreen frame has a few areas with blemishes, but the windscreen fitted is from the first delivery.

The Mercedes was driven 2,950 km in the summer.
After 1,000 km, everything was checked once again; all screws were tightened, and all liquids were replaced.
