Description

Aston Martin DB6 Vantage – Matching Numbers Masterpiece | Full Concourse Restoration
This exceptional Aston Martin DB6 Vantage (Chassis DB6/2719/R, Engine 400/2712V) is a beautifully preserved, matching-numbers example that tells a rich and fascinating story. Expertly restored to the highest standards, it delivers exhilarating performance and timeless elegance in perfect harmony.
Key Highlights:

- Factory Vantage specification with matching numbers
- Nut-and-bolt concours restoration by Marjan Kraljevic, former chief mechanic of Aston Martin Vintage Racing Services
- Powerfully upgraded engine producing an estimated 385+ bhp
- Previously featured in RM Sotheby's
- Professional conversion to left-hand drive for modern usability
- Comprehensive history book with photos and detailed documentation of its remarkable journey

According to the original factory build sheet, this DB6 was first delivered on May 30, 1966, through Bradbury's Garage Limited to D.G. Lynall of Warwickshire, England. Finished in Oyster Shell over red Connolly leather, it was ordered with desirable Vantage engine, chrome wire wheels, heated rear screen, three-ear knock-offs, and a Motorola radio with power antenna. Factory service records extend through March 1968.

The car later passed to Laurence Kayne of Berkeley Square Ltd., then to Scott Vincent in 1984, who imported it to the United States. It eventually joined the collection of Arthur Wexler in Larchmont, New York, before being acquired in 1990 by Peter Ungen and Marjan Kraljevic — a legendary Aston Martin expert who fled communist Yugoslavia and honed his craft working on championship race cars for Bob Grossman. Kraljevic joined Aston Martin North America in 1977, rose to chief mechanic for Aston Martin Vintage Racing Services in the 1980s, and founded Vantage Motors in Stamford, Connecticut, in 1990.

In 1991, Kraljevic became the sole owner of 2719/R and treated it as a true labor of love. What began as a return to reliable running condition evolved into a complete nut-and-bolt restoration starting in late 2004. No expense was spared. The car was reborn with a factory LHD dashboard, refined drivability for American roads, rebuilt brakes and original shocks, and a meticulous mechanical and cosmetic overhaul. It now wears a stunning Aston Martin Black Pearl finish paired with a sumptuous new caramel tan interior. The restoration was completed in summer 2006 and is fully documented with extensive invoices.

Additional maintenance and enhancements have been performed while in our collection, ensuring this DB6 remains in show-ready condition. A professionally edited book chronicling its complete history, accompanied by all maintenance records, documents, magazines, and supporting materials, is included and available for review.
