Among the most coveted Jaguar E-Types are the earliest production examples, distinguished by their external bonnet latches, welded bonnet louvers, and “flat-floor” cockpit configuration. Retaining all three of these hallmarks, this exceptional 1961 E-Type Series 1 3.8-Litre Roadster was completed by the Browns Lane factory on 24 August 1961 and taken to the United States via Jaguar Cars New York, eventually finding its way to an egg farmer in Fulton, Alabama. It is then said to have passed through a series of enthusiasts in Florida and Georgia, before its acquisition by a devoted owner who exhibited the car at numerous Jaguar Club of North America events. They later commissioned a comprehensive restoration, completed in 2014 by Classic Showcase of Oceanside, California.

The E-Type was registered in the United Kingdom in 2015 by its consigning owner, who later took the car to Germany. Offered at auction in its factory-correct colours of Old English White over a Red leather interior with Black soft-top roof, this car presents a chance to acquire one of the most desirable configurations of Jaguar’s iconic E-Type.
