Description
GMC CCKW 353 Big compressor truck, "Woody Wood Pecker" Le-Roi compressor trucks were used extensively by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in all theatres of operations. All trucks were very well equipped with many tools to be able to deal with any tasks they were presented with. This truck is one of the "big compressor" trucks and still retains it's equipment. Post-war service was with the Dutch Army. Used recently at many World War II events demonstrating it's equipment. Fully serviced by Mike Jetten in Holland, attention was paid to the braking system and a full set of new period correct bar-tread tyres. It is not often these trucks are available for sale with so much original equipment. The engine is fully rebuilt recently and runs perfectly. The compressor starts instantly and runs as it should.
