FuoriConcorso has always known how to do one thing better than most: take the cars that defined motorsport history and put them exactly where you least expect them. This past weekend, with the Formula 1 circus just up the road at Monza, the team behind FuoriConcorso did it again, scattering six extraordinary machines across Milan's MonteNapoleone District and letting the city do the rest.
Three venues, three very different conversations about speed. At the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi on Via Gesù, the protagonists were three F1 cars: from the first turbo-powered Ferrari, the 126C — chassis 047, the very first example ever built — to one of the most dominant cars of its era, the Mercedes F1 W06 Hybrid of 2015, which took a staggering 16 wins from the season's 19 races in the hands of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
The third F1 car was the newest and, in its own way, the most significant for the moment: the Audi R26, the brand's first-ever Formula 1 car, shown in its debut season with the Audi Revolut F1 Team. A long tradition of innovation distilled into a single-seater, displayed just a few kilometres from where the 2026 Italian Grand Prix was being contested.
Elsewhere across the Quadrilatero, the Auto Union Type D found a home in the window of Larusmiani on Via Monte Napoleone — two worlds united by craftsmanship, sharing the same glass façade. It was joined by a second Silver Arrow, the Auto Union Lucca: the streamlined 1935 V16 that Hans Stuck once drove to a 326.975 km/h road-speed record near the Tuscan town it takes its name from, and which Audi Tradition has painstakingly recreated. The new Audi Nuvolari — the most powerful production car in Audi's history, with 1,001 CV in a limited run of 499 units — completed the line-up at the Audi Nuvolari space at Via Monte Napoleone 18.
