The Star Gazing Interceptor
Removing the roof from some of the world’s most famous tin-topped cars is a challenge, especially with models like the Jensen Interceptor. Despite having one of the best names in motoring, the Interceptor as a coupé was a delightful mix of old-school charm, plenty of power and, most importantly to many, plenty of space within the cabin and boot for the whole family. Therefore, when Jensen launched the Interceptor convertible in the early 1970s, die-hard fans of the brand took a little while to wrap their heads around it. While the original goal was a sleek convertible to be made in the thousands, in reality only a mere 500 or so were ever produced, making examples such as this a true rarity. Finished in a stunning colour combination, this Interceptor is ready to be enjoyed on that perfect sunset cruise!
Time for this Cat to Leave the Bag?
Ask yourself: when was the last time you saw a Jaguar XK8 like this? Some of you may have seen one or two, many of you may have even owned one, but this was a car that seemingly disappeared from our roads, only to occasionally reappear to remind us how well it is ageing. Incredibly turning 30 years old next year, this XK8 has all the makings of a perfectly useable future classic. It's finished in the perfect colour combination and has been lovingly kept by its previous owners in both Belgium and Finland. As we start to see more sports cars of the 1990s creep up in value, we predict it wont be long before the XK8 follows suit!
The Green Goddess
We recently wrote about how the Lamborghini Miura might just be the most beautiful car in existence. Some agreed, some didn’t and most concluded that it deserves a spot in the top five. This example, however, may just bump the Miura up to a podium position in that list, purely down to its outstanding colour combination. Believed to be one of only three Miuras finished in Verde Scuro, this example takes the green theme to another level with its interior, perfectly swathed in dark green leather. After remaining with the same owner for a staggering 44 years, the car was given a lengthy restoration in 2016, and looks even better now than it did upon leaving the factory. As dream machines go, it truly doesn’t get any better than this!
