Description

If someone were to make a list of the greatest race cars of all time, the Porsche 917 would almost certainly be on it. Our Porsche 917 Family poster features the Salzburg, Gulf, and Martini – three iconic cars that competed at Le Mans. The car gave Porsche its first overall wins at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1970 and 1971, and became revered for its high power output with speeds in excess of 220mph. So iconic was it, that the car played a leading role in Steve McQueen’s 1971 film, ‘Le Mans’. To commemorate the 917’s place in automotive history, Automobilist has produced the “Porsche 917 Family” Collector’s Edition Design Poster, featuring the Salzburg, Gulf, and Martini –depicts three of the most successful – and most visually distinctive – 917s ever built and competed at Le Mans. To make this poster truly unique, it is embossed with a layer of silver foil, a tribute to the 917’s racing quality. Each officially-licensed poster is exclusively marked with a limited-edition production badge, ranging from 001 to 917.

Description

Before the McLaren GTR shook the 1995 Le Mans, no other team had ever captured four of the top five places on a debut appearance. In January of 1995, just six short months before the 63rd Annual 24h Le Mans, Gordon Murray reluctantly agreed to turn the wildly popular McLaren F1 into a proper racing car. Tasked to make this transition from “the ultimate road car” to racing car was the head of GTR Race Development Team James Robinson. Once it was all said and done, 5 teams racing 7 GTR’s were ready to be entered into Le Mans. Of the original 7 GTRs entered at the 1995 Le Mans, two DNF, while the other five placed 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 13th. This was the most successful debut in history of Le Mans. Limited to only 500 pieces, the Unique & Limited Design poster “Winner” features the McLaren F1 GTR in a parc-fermé position with left side dihedral door open. Each poster is embossed with gold foil highlighting the GTR, F1 McLaren, and 1995 Le Mans type.

Description

The Porsche 911 Carrera has always been a special car; the RS model perhaps even more so; but the Porsche RSR is really something else entirely. Tuned to produce 280 bhp at 8000 rpm, the engine is a substantial step on from the RS unit; the brake discs are borrowed from the 917; and the wheels are much wider too. All this adds up to a racing superstar – and the 1973 Targa Florio winner, driven by Gijs van Lennep and Herbert Müller, which we’ve depicted in this Porsche 911 RSR poster. Taking influence from both the car’s Martini livery, and the colorful 1970s, our poster is reproduced on high quality paper – with only 911 limited copies available. For all of our posters we use high quality off-set printing, premium paper, and vibrant color reproduction that stands the test of time – just like the cars themselves. Each one is limited and labeled with a special hologram sticker to denote its authenticity.
