This signal orange Beetle is a Swiss delivered example and was first registered on the first September 1971. The subsequent history of the Volkswagen is unfortunately not known until the previous owner had the coachwork partially restored in preparation for the 2018 MOT. A task which included replacement of all window rubber seals. At the same time, with the counter at 81’983 km the Beetle, because of a bearing damage, received a type correct exchange engine with 65,000 kilometres on the clock. In 2019 the car was taken over by the vendor and used for occasional outings. For increased reliability he had an electronic ignition system installed. In May 2023, among other things, the brakes front and rear were overhauled, and the engine was re-sealed. Currently the mileage stands at 91’000 kilometres and the Beetle is in good to very good condition. Coachwork is up to date, the original seats with their integrated headrests are presenting themselves in good condition with a lovely patina and the technical bits all work impeccably. The last Veteran MOT was completed in May 2023.
