Description

2 owners and 19,117 miles from new!
Delivered new to St Helier Jersey, chassis CSC9C first owner a Mr R. Overland Esq specified his new Rolls Royce would be finished in Sable over Sand and feature factory air conditioning. He proceeded to own the Silver Cloud for 5 years and covered a mere 11,449 miles in that time. Unfortunately Mr Overland came to the realisation the Rolls was too big for Jerseys small roads and his "inability to use the car properly" he sold it to its 2nd owner a Mr W.S. Jackson (Sir Geoffrey Jackson, British diplomat and writer) in 1970. Mr Jackson being a Corps Diplomatic (the Silver Cloud still wearing its CD designation) spent most of his life travelling, including serving as the British ambassador to Uruguay where in 1971 he was kidnapped by the Tupamaros guerrillas and ultimately released after 8 months of captivity, hence in his tenure only a further 8000 miles were covered in 54 years bringing the total mileage up to 19117 miles! Fully recommissioned by marque specialist. This really is an unrepeatable chance to own quite possibly the lowest mileage Silver Cloud in the world.
