Description
1965 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER CLOUD III
1965 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 111, chassis LCEL59. LWB James Young SCT 100 “Baby Phantom” Tourer. Originally delivered in Tudor Grey with a Scarlet interior, it now wears a two tone Black and Garnet exterior over a Tan Connolly hide interior.
Rolls Royce offered a wide range of coach-built bodies for the Silver Cloud III. One such coachbuilder, James Young, offered an option on the long wheel base chassis known as the SCT100. As a renowned coachbuilder in Bromley, England, James Young only built seven left hand drive versions of the SCT100. Only three SCT100 chassis were built without division glass. This chassis, LCEL59, was delivered new in May of 1956 to its first owner, Dr H.G. Watson of Dearborn, Michigan. This beautiful, rare model is fitted with new spark plugs and wires, an upgraded A/C system with a new style A/C compressor and an upgraded alternator. The brake system has recently been completely overhauled. The windshield, washer bottle, washer pump and tires have all recently been replaced. Included is the original full tool kit. The odometer shows 55,490 miles. TMU. Selling at Public Auction on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Henderson Motor Series Auction will take place at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, AL. www.hendersonmotorseries.com for details!
