Introduced in 2011, the Porsche Cayman R represented the most focused and lightweight version of the 987-generation Cayman. Developed with an emphasis on reducing weight and sharpening driver engagement, the Cayman R featured a 55kg weight saving over the Cayman S through the use of lightweight aluminium doors, reduced sound insulation, lightweight wheels and a number of detail revisions.
